KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Kingsport City Schools Board of Education will hold its regular January business meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2020 at 6 p.m. Per Executive Order Number 71 issued by Governor Bill Lee on December 22, 2020, the meeting will be held electronically.
Members of the Board may attend the meeting electronically, including, but not limited to, telephonically. The agenda can be accessed at the following link https://go.boarddocs.com/
In light of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to help prevent its spread and in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public, the board will meet and conduct its business by electronic means. Board members are not required to be physically present together. Board members attending the meeting by electronic means will be counted in the quorum and will be entitled to vote. All votes will be taken by roll call.
The Kingsport Board of Education is made up of five elected at-large, non-partisan members. Each member serves a four-year staggered term. Elections are held in May during odd-numbered years. New Board of Education members are seated on July 1 of each election year.
